Gauntlet bearer is the protagonist and player character, and a member of the faction the Unnamed. Players can play as a male or female character and can define their look with a variety of options in the Character customisation menu at the beginning of the game.
The story begins with the protagonist being found by Tracker in the desert, after an attack on the essence caravan by Wraiths. In their first quest The Essence Caravan, the players will learn more about the story of Atlas Fallen and how to navigate in the world. When they are ordered to bring back a stolen item for Captain Morrath, they are suddenly guided by a mysterious voice, find the Gauntlet and make the acquaintance of Nyaal.
