Nyaal is the deuteragonist Atlas Fallen. He can be seen for the first time in the introduction of the game, before the player can begin the Character creation of their player character. Nyaal's voice then appears in the main quest The Essence Caravan, when The Gauntlet is found by the player character.
Background[]
Nyaal is the God of Chaos. Centuries ago, he and Thelos ruled the world as partners. However, with Humanity's evolution, Thelos grew fearful of them and sought to control them. Nyaal opposed this as he believed everyone should be free to do as they wish. Nyaal crafted a Gauntlet to oppose Thelos but lost the ensuing battle. He was subsequently imprisoned in The Black Alms. To keep Nyaal from breaking free, Thelos subjugated humanity and forced them to mine Essence from the earth. He then created Wraiths to not only transport Essence to the prison but to also oppress humanity. This was only made easier by the creation of The Watcher to oversee the lands.
