The Sand Wraiths are enemies featured in Atlas Fallen. They are guardians made of sand that were created by Thelos to suppress humanity. Wraiths take on a variety of forms and sizes and require effective strategies to defeat. There are four different categories of Wraiths: Lesser Wraiths, Greater Wraiths, Colossal Wraiths, and Elite Wraiths. Each category determines the size and strength of a wraith. Elite Wraiths are unique versions of the first three categories and do not respawn once defeated.
Greater and Colossal Wraiths feature weak points that will be displayed in the upper left of the screen. Each weak points features a health bar. Once all weak points have been destroyed, the Wraith will be defeated. Occasionally, a weak point will be armored which is represented by a gold health bar. Unlike normal weak points, armored weak points are not required to defeat a Wraith but grant additional rewards if destroyed. Players can also use Shatter to instantly destroy a weak point if they have enough Momentum and the weak point's health bar glows blue. If enough health has been depleted from all of a Wraith's weak points, then Shatter can be used to instantly kill them. Defeated Wraiths drop Essence Stones and Fusion Materials once defeated. They will also drop Essence Dust which is used to fuse and upgrade Essence Stones or upgrade Armour.
